Me

Hello,

My name is Marc Trius, and I am a Jewish Israeli citizen born in Leningrad, RSFR (now St. Petersburg, Russia) and living in the United States.

Political dissidence is not just what I do, it is a family tradition. As my parents and grandparents struggled against Soviet oppression in Russia, so I struggle against fascism, oppression, and ideology everywhere I live. I believe that a world is possible where we can all be human together— if we get off our bums and work for it together.

Although I am not an observant Jew, I feel very strongly about my roots and traditions, and I consider myself a member of the Jewish faith as well as of the Jewish tribe.

I work to help my Zionist Jewish brothers unlearn this dangerous and evil ideology that is destroying our people. I also work on helping my non-Jewish friends learn about Judaism and how different it really is from Zionism. Most urgently, I do what I can to help my Palestinian brothers regain their freedom and achieve a just peace in which Palestinians, Jews, and everyone else who wants to can live together in the Holy Land in one Democratic state.

I also feel great solidarity with the Native American Indians here in the United States, and I hope for the opportunity to truly support them in their cause to draw back from the brink of obliteration. I remember that this continent was not empty when European colonists came here, and what they did to make it theirs.

I hate the explitation of our world as much as I hate the exploitation of its people. I believe in the wisdom of God as it is expressed in Nature and in the value of Humanity as a part of it. I hope for a future where we can live in true peace — peace with Nature and with one another.
